Our poor poor cats

Jack has always loved our cats, ever since he's learned that they were soft. And he's been trying to chase them for a long time. Well, it finally happened... they started letting him catch them. It's obvious that Mels (the white one) just loves him but is slightly terrified as well. Danny (the orange one) tolerates him but doesn't run from him either. Then there's Phoebe (the black one) that you will never see a picture of with Jack... she does NOT tolerate him.

I think when Jack is a little older and knows better how to handle them that he and Mels are going to be best friends. I would bet that she ends up sleeping with him too.

Thomas the Train

Jack got to meet Thomas the Train!!

He just loves his little train (a.k.a. Woo Woo Toot Toot) at home so I thought it would be nice to take him to a local train that was hosting A Day out with Thomas. He loved it! As soon as he got there he was pointing and calling out "Woo Woo Toot Toot!"

I tell you this kid has no fear when it comes to crowds and he was just charging ahead trying to see everything. He kept getting angry at us when we would try to have him hold our hand or if we wanted to hold him to keep him contained. But once he saw Thomas pulling up he was all smiles and kept calling out "Thomas!"

We were able to get our picture while Thomas was at the station and then we went to stand in line for our turn. Let me just say, standing in line is not one of Jack's strong points. We became quite cranky, wanted to run around, and I think he was a little warm too because we were standing in the sun. He would only let Eric hold him and was crying and screaming until we broke down and gave him the silly binky. I really didn't want to give it to him but I didn't like disturbing everyone in the line with his crying either. When we got on the train he was quite content to sit with Eric and look out the window. Pointing out the cows and corn.

We went home right after the train ride and Jack passed out in the car pretty quickly. It was a really nice trip.

And it begins...

Welcome to the Adventures of the Redcay family. I'm new to blogging, so have patience with me.

I started a baby website when Jack was born but he is quickly outgrowing being a baby so I thought it was time to move on. I'll copy over what I have there as a start.

Many of you know that I love to share pictures of Jack, he's our pride and joy and pain in our butt and we love more each day.

Such a Clean Boy!

Well, I've known for quite some time that Jack likes things tidy and clean. He loves washing his hands, if something spills he'll run for a paper towel to wipe it up, loves putting his toys away, etc. But we seem to have moved on to the next level. He saw me using a swifer duster, lifting things up and dusting underneath and must have thought this was the BEST! He asked for one and immediately started dusting all of his toys. Not just the top of his toys but going as far as to lift things up and dust underneath. Nothing is quite so precious as seeing your little boy lift up his toy car and dust the garage! It was all so adorable until he dusted off his bowl of grapes. But I guess that was my fault for having them on the coffee table.

And don't get me started on the vacuum! He's always loved watching us vacuum (as long as he can sit on me or sit on my hip), but has just now taken to trying it himself!
