I'm pretty sure this is the first time that he's sat down for a formal meal. I guess it was a good idea for us to start eating while he was still taking his nap and only bring him down when we were half way through!

Teaching him right
This kid has a knack. Everything must be in it's place and he must be able to help clean! We certainly aren't going to discourage this habit!

Jack joins Flock of Seagulls
Or is he trying to grow horns?
This is how he woke up on Sunday morning. Too funny not to take pictures.

Massage therapy?
What's it called when massage therapists walk on your back? Well, Eric got a free session. Then, of course, so general rough-housing ensued!

Jack's 2nd Birthday Party
Well thank goodness he wasn't sick for this one. It was small and cozy and just the right size so that Jack could run around and enjoy himself. The first half hour or so was quite jumping because the balloons kept popping! Good thing I got so many. I guess they just expanded too much from going from the cold air outside to the warm air inside. The montage that I made of Jack was a hit and Jack loves watching it too! And I'm pretty sure that Jack's favorite present was the Jack-size table from Nana.

Jack is 2 !!!
We've made it through another year! Now, if only these "terrible two" tantrums would end!
To commemorate his birthday I have made a little montage for Jack. It's a little long so I would recommend hitting play and once it starts hit the pause button and let it sit for a few minutes so that it can finish downloading. Otherwise it might pause and skip a lot for you.
Enjoy!

Jack's 2 year portraits
Let's just say that Jack wasn't too thrilled with getting his portraits done. He has become VERY attached to his binky lately and when I wouldn't let him take it into the mall he became quite upset... lots of tears and screaming.
But the people at the portrait place did a fantastic job considering what they had to work with. Jack wouldn't let go of Eric until the girl got him playing with the baseball and I think in the end we got some great pictures!

Jack's First Haircut
And boy did he need it!
We all loved his curls but it was just getting too long and too unruly and his hair just couldn't be managed anymore. So we broke down and got his hair cut. We had been putting it off for so long because we've heard nightmare stories of kids crying and screaming through getting their hair cut and we just didn't know how Jack would do.
But guess what... he did GREAT!!! We let him keep his binky because we figured it would keep him calm and we had him sit on daddy's lap for security. He never whimpered, cried, moaned, nothing! The only time he flinched a little was when she bent down his ear to cut the hair behind.
And for being such a good boy we decided to reward him and got him to aquarium cars to go with his Thomas trains.

Celebrating Eric's New Job
Cheers!
Any new job deserves a small celebration! So we went to Nana and Grandpa's house, to relax, drink and have dinner. What could be better?

March 1.. 2.. 3
Eric seems to have taught Jack a new little trick. He likes to march outside! But you had better be marching with him or he'll tell you to lift those knees! Oh, and make sure you're chanting "bum bum bum bum" as you do it!

PopPop's Birthday
PopPop (Eric's dad) turned 70! But you wouldn't have known it the way Jack had him playing. We all walked down to the playground (quite a parade) and Jack had himself (with Daddy pushing), Mommy, PopPop and MomMom all lined up on the swings! Great-Grams was allowed to sit on the bench. I was so disappointed that I didn't think to bring my camera. Then it was off to the see-saw and the jungle-gym.
Back at the house he was all about PopPop and followed him everywhere. He even let me take a couple cute pictures!
